SCOPE
The Elks Scholarship is given to 500 students who are about to graduate from high school. The scholarship amounts vary between $1,000 and $12,500 per year and can be renewed for up to four years. These scholarships are distributed across different states based on the number of students.
Out of all the applicants, the top 20 finalists will be chosen. They will have the opportunity to attend an all-expenses-paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago, where they will be interviewed by national judges.

Among these 20 finalists, there will be two winners of the first-place awar
d, each receiving $50,000. Two second-place winners will receive $40,000 each, and two third-place winners will get $30,000 each. The remaining 14 finalists will receive $20,000 each. The students who don’t win any of these top awards, a total of 480 students, will still receive scholarships of $4,000 each.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants don’t have to be connected to a member of the Elks organization.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen who is working towards a full-time 4-year degree at a recognized college or university in the U.S. A student can only receive one scholarship or grant from the Elks National Foundation in a single academic year.
If a student wants to use their scholarship money for studying abroad, it has to be done through a recognized U.S. institution. The Elks cannot provide funds for third-party programs or companies.
Applicants must currently be attending high school.
This award is meant for colleges that offer 4-year degrees.
