More than 20,000 individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa have successfully completed the Google Career Certificates program, and an impressive 80% of these graduates have reported experiencing positive career advancements within six months of finishing the program. These advancements include securing new job opportunities, receiving higher salaries, or earning promotions.
Additionally, Google introduced Interview Warmup last year, which is an AI-powered tool designed to assist job seekers in the tech industry with interview preparation. The tool has been well-received and has helped many individuals enhance their interview skills.
Furthermore, we are delighted to share the success stories of three remarkable individuals: Aima from Nigeria, Judith from Kenya, and Zizipho from South Africa. Scholarship Duration and Reward
The cybersecurity certificate program aims to educate participants on recognizing prevalent risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in order to effectively counteract them. It offers practical training in utilizing Python, Linux, SQL, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
To make this program accessible to a wider audience, we are collaborating with esteemed distribution partners: the ICT Authority in Kenya, The Roothub in Nigeria, and RLabs in South Africa. These partners have well-established workforce development initiatives that enable us to reach learners, grant them access to the Cybersecurity certificate program, and provide ongoing support throughout their learning journey.
Through this collaborative effort, we are delighted to announce the availability of 2,000 scholarships, ensuring that aspiring individuals have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in cybersecurity.
