SCOPE

Humber College offers a fantastic opportunity for students pursuing Graduate Certificates, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma programs by providing entrance scholarships for January 2024 admissions. This merit-based scholarship is designed to reward students with exceptional academic qualifications, possessing a GPA of 85% or higher and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or its equivalent in TOEFL, Duolingo, or senior high school English grades) achieved during their senior year of high school, college, or university.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS:

New students enrolling in Diploma and/or Advanced Diploma studies can be considered for an international entrance scholarship at Humber College. This scholarship grants a CAD 2,000 reduction in tuition fees for the first two semesters of study (CAD 1,000 per semester).

Although Humber College may consider high school students demonstrating academic excellence for the international entrance scholarship, only a limited number of scholarships are available, and they will be awarded to those with the highest GPA (Grade Point Average).

The GPA calculation will be based on the high school transcripts received during the admissions assessment process. The International Entrance Scholarship does not require a separate application; eligible candidates will automatically receive the award once they begin their studies.

A total of 20 scholarships will be awarded to new students commencing in September, 15 scholarships for students starting in January, and 5 scholarships for students starting in May. In each starting semester, only one student from any given country can receive the award to ensure diversity.

The scholarship will be credited to the recipient’s MyHumber account in two installments of CAD 1,000 each after the 10th day of classes, both applied to the second semester. However, the scholarship recipient is still responsible for paying the full amount for the first semester.

Notification of successful recipients will be sent after the 10th day of their 1st-semester studies.

SCHOLARSHIP DURATION AND BENEFITS:

This scholarship incentive amounts to a CAD 2,000 deduction from the student’s tuition fees for the entire first year of their studies.

ELIGIBILITY FOR BACHELOR’S DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPS:

These scholarships are open to students transitioning directly from high school/secondary school studies who have not attended college or university or participated in Humber’s EAP program.

There is no limit to the number of scholarships available for bachelor’s degree students, and Humber automatically awards them based on academic achievement.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATE DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPS:

This entrance scholarship is available for Graduate Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma students joining Humber in January 2023.
