OPPORTUNITY BENEFITS:
The Swami Vivekananda Scholarship amount varies as per the marks and field of the subject. Let’s understand it carefully.
For undergraduates studying arts, commerce, science, or other approved professional courses, who scored at least 60% in their last qualifying exam, they will get a monthly stipend of 1000 rupees if they meet the criteria. Those pursuing postgraduate studies in similar fields with a score of at least 53% for SVMCM and 45% for Kanyashree(K3 applicants) will receive 2000 rupees per month.
Postgraduate students in engineering or other professional courses approved by AICTE, who meet specific academic criteria, will receive a monthly stipend of 5000 rupees. For students in polytechnic diploma courses, the stipend is 1500 rupees per month.
For non-NET M.Phil./non-NET PhD students with at least 60% marks in their last qualifying exam and enrollment/registration after 01.04.2017, the stipend ranges from 5000 to 8000 rupees per month.
High school graduates with a minimum of 60% marks and D.El.Ed. students with similar academic achievement will receive 1000 rupees per month.
Medical degree and diploma course students who scored at least 60% in their last qualifying exam will receive stipends ranging from 5000 to 15000 rupees per month, depending on their course. These stipends are provided by various educational departments such as the Directorate of Public Interface, Directorate of Secondary Education, Department of Technical Education, and Director of Medical Education.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
To apply for the SVMCM scholarship, you need to submit several important documents along with your online application:

- 2. Admission receipt
- 3. Last academic record (both sides of the marksheet)
- 4. Scanned copy of your bank passbook’s first page, showing your account number and IFSC
- 5. Domicile certificate (such as Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, or Voter ID) issued by the relevant authority
- 6. Declaration from the head of your institution explaining any gap years, if applicable.
When uploading images and signatures, make sure they are in JPG/JPEG format and within the specified size range. For images, the size should be between 20KB and 50KB, and for signatures, it should be between 10KB and 20KB.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for the SVMCM Scholarship Scheme 2023, students need to meet certain conditions:
- Residency: Applicants must live in West Bengal.
- Education Level: Students must be enrolled in one of the following:
- High school (Class 11 and 12) in West Bengal
- Undergraduate programs in fields like Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical, and Technical/Professional courses from institutes approved by the AICTE and linked to the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVE&SD)
- Postgraduate programs in Science, Arts, Commerce & Technical/Management courses from a recognized government institution affiliated with any State University or AICTE approved institutes in West Bengal.
- M.Phil and Doctoral courses (NON-NET Junior Research Fellow and NET-Lectureship) from state-supported institutions.
- Applicants must meet certain academic standards to qualify.
- The total yearly income of the applicant’s family must not exceed ₹2,50,000.
METHOD OF APPLICATION.

- 1. Go to the official website of SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship) at www.svmcm.wbhed.gov.in.
- 2. If you’re new to the scholarship, click on the “Register” button at the top-right corner of the homepage.
- 3. Choose whether you’re a topper or non-topper.
- 4. Select “Fresh Application” and proceed.
- 5. Fill out the form with your details like name, mobile number, address, and stream.
- 6. Upload the required documents like your mark sheet.
- 7. Click on the “Register” button.
- 8. Once registered, you’ll receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter it to verify your number.
- 9. Save your Applicant ID for future use.
Now, use your Applicant ID to log in and start your application process:
- 1. Click on “Applicant Login” on the homepage.
- 2. Enter your login ID and password.
- 3. From your dashboard, you can apply for the scholarship, upload documents, and edit your profile and application.
- 4. After completing all the application processes, log in from your SVMCM dashboard.
