SCOPE
The Heisman High School Scholarship is a prestigious honor that acknowledges and rewards exceptional student-athletes who recognize that significant accomplishments occur not only in sports, but also in their schools and communities. This scholarship is named after John Heisman, a former college football player and coach who is regarded as one of the most accomplished coaches in the history of the game.

SCHOLARSHIPS DETAILS.
High school seniors who take part in sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games, or the National Federation of State High School Associations are eligible for the Heisman High School Scholarship. To apply, students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (equivalent to a B average) and have demonstrated leadership qualities and positive role modeling within their school and community.
The Scholarship Is Granted In Two Stages:
State Awardees: From each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, one male and one female state awardee will be chosen. These state awardees will be given a scholarship amount of $1,000 each.
National Finalists: Among the state awardees, twelve national finalists will be selected. They will be invited to attend the Heisman High School Scholarship National Ceremony held in New York City. During this event, the national finalists will compete for the top three prizes:
- National Champion: The student selected as the national champion will be granted a scholarship of $10,000.
- First Runner-Up: The first runner-up will receive a scholarship of $7,500.
- Second Runner-Up: The second runner-up will be awarded a scholarship of $5,000.
Applications for the scholarship of the academic year 2023-2024 must be submitted by October 17, 2023.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS AND DURATION
The Heisman High School Scholarship provides a maximum of $10,000 to 101 high school seniors who stand out in their studies, sports, and community involvement. The money from the scholarship can only be used for educational costs such as school fees, books, and tuition. The single payment for the scholarship will cover a full year of academic expenses.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for the Heisman High School Scholarship, you need to fulfill these conditions:
- Your overall high school grade point average (GPA), which takes into account the difficulty of your classes, needs to be at least a B (3.0) or better.
