ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Eligibility Criteria for the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarship

Master’s Degree Requirements:

• Attainment of at least a Second Class Upper (2.1) grade or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant work experience in their undergraduate degree.

• Completion of the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

• Proficiency in basic computer skills.

• Possession of at least five O-level credits, which must include English Language and Mathematics.

• Submission of a Statement of Purpose not exceeding 500 words, elucidating the motivations behind the proposed course of study, its significance to the industry, and its potential contribution to national advancement.

• Possession of a National Identity Number (NIN), with verification required prior to scholarship application (subject to NIMC verification charges).

Doctoral Degree Requirements:

• Fulfillment of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) obligation.

• Proficiency in basic computer skills.

• Possession of at least five O-level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

• Attainment of at least a Second Class Lower (2.2) in their undergraduate degree and a commendable postgraduate qualification.

• Submission of a concise research proposal, not exceeding five pages, outlining the chosen topic, introduction, objectives, methodology, and data collection approach, all within the context of the oil and gas industry.

• Verification of eligibility for approved PhD Research Areas.

• Submission of a letter from the respective Vice Chancellors confirming non-receipt of any other scholarships by lecturers.

• Possession of a National Identity Number (NIN), with verification required before scholarship application (subject to NIMC verification charges).
