SCHOLARSHIPS DETAILS.
The Ronald H. Brown Scholarship Program (RBSP) awards 45 – 50 scholarships valued at $40,000 each, spread over four years with $10,000 per year. These scholarships are given to exceptional and economically-disadvantaged high school seniors who demonstrate a strong interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship, and global citizenship – the four pillars of Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures, and ethnicities, particularly disadvantaged youth.
Recipients of the scholarship can utilize the renewable funds to attend any accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. The Ron Brown scholarships are not restricted to any specific field or career path, allowing recipients to pursue any academic discipline they desire. Since the Programme inception in 1996, a total of 584 students have been honored with the prestigious title of Ron Brown Scholars.
To be eligible for the Ron Brown Scholarship, applicants must be Black/African American, US citizens or permanent residents, and currently in their final year of high school at the time of application.

SCHOLAR BENEFITS AND AWARD
The Ron Brown Scholarship represents a nationwide grant designed to support financially disadvantaged African American students who are in their final year of high school. Recipients of the Ron Brown Scholarship are granted $40,000 to be used towards their preferred college education. Additionally, they are offered mentorship, opportunities to develop leadership skills, and the chance to participate in various community service activities. This scholarship aims to empower and uplift the next generation of African American leaders by providing them with the necessary resources and support to succeed academically and socially.

Applicants with keen interest are highly advised to submit their applications for the Ron Brown Scholar Program, as long as they fulfill the following criteria:
- Must belong to the Black/African American community.
- Must demonstrate outstanding academic performance.
- Must display remarkable leadership capabilities.
- Must actively engage in community service.
- Must exhibit financial need.
- Must be a US citizen or possess a permanent resident visa card.
- Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
- Please note that individuals currently enrolled in college are ineligible to apply for the program.
