The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) stated that they have found the body of the FGCU student missing who slipped off a boat on Wednesday nights. The search continued for more than 12 hours to locate the body of the 19-year-old young man who fell into the water while on a personal boat in Lake Como at the university.

During the time of the incident, there were 13 other individuals on the boat with the person who suffered the accident, Graham McGrath.

As per LCSO, several teams came to the location around 7 p.m. Deputies utilized a special device on the boat known as side-scan sonar, which helps in spotting and creating images of objects on the bottom of the lake.

Images have revealed that the lake has depths of 30-50 feet, which is significantly deeper than initially thought. The sheriff has stated that this is currently being treated as a case of death. The exact cause of death has not been determined yet.
