THE GATES SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
Students awarded with scholarships will be provided financial support equivalent to the total expenses of their education, excluding any funding already received through other forms of financial aid and their family’s anticipated contribution, as assessed by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the specific calculation method adopted by the scholar’s educational institution.

THE GATES SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
High School Senior: Applicants must currently be in their final year of high school.
Ethnic Background: Applicants must belong to one or more of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American.
Citizenship: Applicants must be either a US citizen, a US national, or a permanent resident.
Academic Standing: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and should be in good academic standing.
College Enrollment: Students must plan to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States. The institution should be a not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
*American Indian/Alaska Native applicants will be required to provide proof of tribal enrollment. Furthermore, successful candidates typically possess the following qualities:
Outstanding Academic Record: Applicants should have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, ranking in the top 10% of their graduating class.
